Craig Hallsworth (Lead Vocals) Rhythm Guitar
Craigs first Band was “The Termites” who had some success, with gigs in local working mens clubs in the Manchester area, close to his home town,
Further experience was gained with "Sounds Familiar" sharing the lead vocals covering the 70s era all around the North West of England including a popular duo Calld Him & I.
He also played in popular local band “Wall Street” for a number of years, during which he gained much experience.
During the past 10 years Craig “The Rhythm Jets” and “Route 66”, on lead vocals and guitar. In 2013, he formed “The Originals”. The rest, as they say, is history.
Barry Scofield (Drummer) (Sound engineer) (Backing Vocals)
“Baz” joined the army in 1971 as a musician, travelling the world in a variety of bands, from a four piece to a 16 piece dance band, and played on four LP's .
In 1982 he played with Nick Kershaw on the single “Wouldn't it be good”, before leaving the army. He then formed his own band, touring the UK and Europe, and in the 1980's supported many well known Artists. In the 90's he taught drums, and did a music tech/business course for four years.
He has since played in several Manchester bands, and remains one of the best in town! He loves playing drums, “….it’s my life and it’s in my blood”, This is one of the reasons why he joined the Originals.
John Sharpe (Bass)(Backing Vocals)
“BBJ” first learned the violin from the age of 6, before taking up guitar, cornet, piano and organ, achieving a BMG diploma on guitar at age 14.
He then joined the army and became a clarinet player in a military band, playing at the wedding reception of Prince Charles and Lady Diana .
Whilst in the army he met Barry and together they became a tightly knit rhythym section. He has played in many bands, including blues tributes, rock & roll, classical, pop and classic rock acts. He and Barry are the newest members of The Originals and have already proved to be invaluable in their contribution to the sound.
